I chose UNH because I couldn't see myself anywhere else. I was immediately captivated by the friendly, open environment of UNH. The people here are incredibly diverse, and bonding with others has been seamless. UNH's passion towards experiential education also drew me in; by pursuing an education here, I know I am getting the hands-on experience that will excel me once I'm out in the working field.
I'm currently working towards my B.S. in Criminal Justice. As a freshman, I'm taking mainly core and introductory classes before anything intensive regarding my major. I'm also trying to figure out a possible double major!
My favorite place on campus would have to be Bartels Campus Center. Jazzman's Cafe is a great spot to hang out with friends and chill between classes, after dinner, or anytime you're just passing through. Either way, you're bound to see plenty of smiling faces anytime you walk inside.
My favorite class at UNH is Elementary Arabic I. The exposure I've received already into the culture of the Middle East has boosted my appreciation of that area. I have also enjoyed learning the language itself, and after many years of Spanish in middle school and high school, learning yet another language is both fascinating and fulfilling. I trust that UNH will broaden my perspective of the world as a whole, and taking Arabic has gotten me off to a solid start with that.
