Tour Guide at University of New Haven
Hometown: Brownville, NY
Major: Marine BiologyConnect
Of the experiential learning that they offer! I was uncertain about my choice in major because of the lack of Marine Biology opportunities in my hometown, so UNH's program was really appealing to me! We started working in the field, doing labs and learning important techniques the first semester, and it was so much fun and such a great learning experience.
My favorite place on campus is this little stairwell in the back of Gehring Hall. When you go up the stairs there's a window where you can see all the lights of the city of New Haven!
My favorite class so far has been Vertebrate Zoology. I'm really interested in marine mammals, and I am considering working with rescue and rehabilitation so it was really interesting to learn about the animals I love in so much depth!
I'm currently the President of Honors student council, and very involved in Marine Biology Club! I'm also a writer for Her Campus, and am in the Honors Program. Most of my time is spent doing Organic Chemistry and signing along to Legally Blonde the Musical!
