Tour Guide at University of New Haven
Hometown: Middleton, MA
Major: Dental HygieneConnect
I chose UNH because I loved the atmosphere when I stepped onto campus. Everyone is always friendly and helpful, and the faculty is amazing. UNH also has so many programs and opportunities that were unique, such as Living Learning Communities. I felt that I belonged here on campus and I'm happy that UNH became my second home.
I'm currently in my sophomore year and am working towards earning my bachelors degree in Dental hygiene. My main work would be focused around my academics and my core courses. I am also beginning to think about possible topics for my senior honors thesis.
My favorite place on campus would have to be the Beckerman Recreation Center. I love being able to go and relieve some stress by playing volleyball or basketball with some friends, or running around the track. I also love how they offer classes such as yoga and zumba. It is a great place to hangout with friends, get fit, or just relax.
My favorite class at UNH would have to be my Dental Hygiene Concepts course. It is my first main Dental Hygiene course that I have taken and it has allowed me to learn hands-on and really get into the vibe of dentistry. It is exciting to go into clinic and begin working with instruments and learning proper techniques that I'll use throughout my career.
